Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a sibling discount?

The first sibling is a full-cost participant. Each additional sibling participant is discounted $10 for the ½ Day Session, or $25 for the Elite residential Session. For example, 3 siblings attending the ½ session would be $170 for the 1st child, and $160 each for the 2nd and 3rd children.

What soccer equipment should I bring along?

Participants in both our residential camp and our 1/2 day camp are required to bring a soccer ball and wear shinguards in order to participate. We also recommend that you also bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and sneakers or indoor shoes for use in case of inclement weather. Is the program fee refundable?

The program fee is non-refundable. If participation is not possible after processing, the camp fee can be credited to a future New England Soccer Academy program.

Will water be provided on the fields?

Yes, each field will be stocked with ample water throughout the day. We request that each camper bring a water bottle as cups will not be provided.

Is there a team discount?

Yes. If eight (8) players from one team enroll in the camp program, each participant will receive a $50 discount. Registrations must be collected and submitted together in a single mailing to receive the discount.

I am a rising college freshman, can I attend the Elite Session of the New England Soccer Academy?

Yes, rising college freshmen are encouraged to attend. The Elite residential session is an excellent supplement to their summer training and preparations for entry into any college soccer program.

What is the cost of camp if I am a commuter?

We do accept commuters for the Residential session of camp. The commuter discount is $100.00.

 

I am a commuter attending the residential camp, what time should I plan to arrive and be picked up?

Commuters should plan to be dropped off at 8:30 am at Pickard Fields and be prepared to participate in the first morning session at 9:00 am.

What college coaches will be in attendance at the residential camp?

We will staff our camp with highly qualified, successful coaches, from a variety of colleges. The list is yet to be finalized.

If I am injured, will there be a trainer in attendance?

Yes, all NESA camps have a certified athletic trainer in attendance at all field sessions and residing in the dormitory each evening.

Should I bring any money to camp?

We operate a camp store that is open between sessions and in the evening that will sell beverages, snacks and pizza.

I’m attending the Elite Residential Session from far away, what is the closest airport to fly into?

The closest airport to campus is the Portland Jetport (PWM) and is approximately 30 minutes away from campus. NESA does not provide transportation to or from the airport. Individual or group rides can be booked through Mermaid Travel http://www.gomermaid.com/. Cabs are also available at the airport.

I am trying to coordinate travel to and from the Elite Residential Session, when should I arrive and depart?

Registration takes place from 3:00-4:00 pm at Osher Quad on the first day of camp.  Our last session will conclude at 10:45 am on the final day of camp. All campers will need to vacate their dormitory by 12:00 pm. We recommend that campers not fly out of PWM prior to 2:00 pm if possible.
