Bowdoin College-Men's Soccer

New England Soccer Academy

Day Camp

Through individualized instruction and small-sided games, the staff will teach the campers fundamental skill development, tactical awareness, and teamwork. We have designed our camp curriculum to satisfy the needs of both newcomers to the sport, and players with much more experience. We will challenge each participant with instruction catered to their ability and experience, ensuring an appropriate challenge, and stressing the ultimate objective of having lots of FUN! It is our goal that participants will depart the camp week with a wealth of fun memories, an increased comfort with the ball at their feet, an improved under-standing of soccer strategy, a few new friends, and exposure to positive role models.

Location
The New England Soccer Academy will take place on the campus of Bowdoin College. Pickard Field, with acres of well-maintained grass fields, is our classroom. In case of inclement weather, the Soccer Academy will move inside to Watson Arena or the Farley Fieldhouse located adjacent to Pickard Field.

What To Bring
Each participant is required to bring a soccer ball and wear shinguards in order to participate. We recommend that you also bring along a water bottle, sunscreen, and snack. We also highly recommend that you bring along sneakers or indoor soccer shoes for use in the case of inclement weather.

A Day At NESA Camp
From the moment participants arrive at Pickard Field, it’s all about soccer! Players will be constantly improving on past skills while learning new techniques during group and individual practice sessions. Be sure to bring a healthy snack and a bottle for water to stay energized!
